Welcome faculty and staff to a new academic year

Dear Colleagues:

The start of the fall semester at Colorado State University is a time that brings us all back together in a shared sense of Ram pride and renewed energy for a new academic year. The return of the students creates an excitement that inspires us all.

This enthusiasm and our reputation as an exceptional university are thanks to the excellence you consistently demonstrate on behalf of our mission. Your commitment to our students is reflected in a potential record in enrollments and incoming classes this fall. We’ve pulled out all the stops to prepare for the students and to offer our new Rams a robust week of activities starting Monday.

move-in week

As you’ve probably heard, CSU’s strong recruiting efforts, highly qualified academics, and desirable student experiences as a residential campus have resulted in record fall 2022 housing demand. Some students are accepted temporary accommodation, and moved to permanent housing as soon as possible. Given the size of the incoming class, the main campus will be very busy on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays when students move into the dormitories.

You can support Move In by leaving the parking lots west of Meridian and around the concourses open to students and their families, and avoiding Hughes Way and Plum Street as they are used as unloading zones. It is also appreciated to use alternate transportation options next week or to speak to your manager about telecommuting options (if these options are feasible for you).

Thank you to everyone who has agreed to support and support the move Shifts are still possibleif you want to participate.

Autumn Address – Save the Date

In closing, we encourage you to join the Ram community for the President’s Fall Address on the Oval followed by a picnic: Thursday, September 29, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m Like the start of the fall semester, this is an important time to bring our fellowship together. More information will be announced by the Office of the President in the coming weeks.
