Although remote work has become a standard option for most professionals since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, another flexible working model is also gaining traction: work from anywhere.
Most remote work policies don’t offer real flexibility: According to FlexJobs, about 95% of remote jobs have geographic requirements, whether it’s a specific region, country, state, or city.
On the other hand, with a work-from-anywhere job, employees are “100% remote, independent of location and, in many cases, independent of a specific time zone,” FlexJobs career coach Toni Frana told CNBC Make It.
To help job seekers find the best remote jobs that allow them to work anywhere in the world, FlexJobs has identified the most in-demand work-from-anywhere jobs that companies are hiring for by using its database of work- from-anywhere-jobs analyzed had the highest transfer volume between January and June 2022.
All jobs on the list offer full-time or part-time remote opportunities, have no location constraint, and do not require time in the office. Here are the 10 most in-demand work-from-anywhere jobs companies are hiring for (see the full list here):

The benefits of a remote job — along with the freedom to live and work from different parts of the world — can include greater productivity and engagement, a more positive impact on the environment, and “the ultimate job flexibility,” says Frana.
The number of people choosing to live and work abroad is increasing: In a recent Lonely Planet survey of more than 1,400 respondents from six countries (including the US and Mexico), 54% of workers identified themselves as “workers everywhere”. a new breed of digital nomads who split their time between remote work and travel.
As more companies consider expanding their remote work offerings — and more countries offer remote work visas — Frana expects the number of jobs that can be done from anywhere will soon increase.
The industries currently hiring the most work-from-anywhere jobs include marketing, project management, customer service, and technology, according to the FlexJobs report.
FlexJobs also identified the top companies currently hiring the most work-from-anywhere jobs, a list dominated by technology and international companies including Airbnb, ConsenSys and the Wikimedia Foundation (see the full list here).
If you’re hoping to land a remote job, referring to previous work experience and expertise with remote tools like Zoom, Slack, Trello, and the Google Suite on your resume can help you stand out as an applicant, says Frana .
While being a digital nomad is exciting, it can also be a difficult transition from a traditional work-from-home or hybrid job. Before you embark on your journey to becoming a “anywhere worker,” Frana recommends setting a budget for travel expenses and researching companies’ resources for their remote workers, such as: B. a technology scholarship or a virtual mentoring program to understand how you will be supported in your new role.
