RIPCO Real Estate Appoints Jack Chera as Executive Managing Director for the Long Island and New York City Markets

RIPCO Real Estate (RIPCO), a leading New York City (NYC) independent retail brokerage firm offering services including leasing, investment sales, property management, and debt and structured finance, is proud to announce the hiring of Jack Chera as Executive Managing Director for the to announce the markets of Long Island and New York City.

Chera, who has over a decade of acquisitions and retail leasing experience, will work closely with the RIPCO team to expand the company’s presence in Long Island and the five counties. He will be based out of the company’s Long Island office.

“Jack has an impressive track record and decades of retail knowledge and experience. During his many years at Crown Acquisitions he has been involved in significant acquisitions and leasing transactions and we are excited to see what he can achieve with our platform. I know it will have an impact quickly and will be a valuable addition as we continue to expand throughout New York,” said Mark Kaplan, RIPCO’s chief operating officer.

Prior to joining RIPCO, Chera worked at Crown Acquisitions since 2010. During his time at Crown Acquisitions, he spent most of his time scouting for properties to purchase for the company. In 2012, the company launched Crown Retail Services, the company’s retail brokerage side. He began working in both the acquisition and retail leasing departments of the company. His track record includes completed deals with Chipotle, Bank of America, School Construction Authority, Vitamin Shoppe, Sephora, Pet Supplies Plus, Indochino, IHOP, Armed Forces Career Center, Planet Fitness and others. In addition, Chera helped some of his many clients buy and sell real estate in the five boroughs. During his time at Crown, he served as a team leader who closed 30 deals with Planet Fitness. In the past three years, Chera has represented Planet Fitness Corporate and has completed 15 deals across Long Island.
