Eluru District Coordinator V. Prasanna Venkatesh affirmed on Oct. 18 (Tuesday) to give priority to ex-soldiers in future recruitment for government posts through outsourcing mode.

At a meeting with the Sainik district welfare authorities, Mr. Prasanna listed various problems faced by ex-army, navy and air force soldiers and promised to take the necessary measures to ensure job opportunities for them.

The Collector has also pledged to provide employment and entrepreneurship training under the aegis of the AP State Skill Development Corporation and the District Industries Department.

“The ex-soldiers were to form groups of 25 people to design a training program. The banks will also offer the help to start entrepreneurial activities,” Mr. Prasanna said. Land allocation for Sainik Bhavan district was also discussed at the meeting.

KV Prasada Rao, Welfare Officer of Sainik District of Eluru, District Finance Officer AVNS Murthy and other officials were present.
